    Smile

Mine would have to be a small gathering including:-

John Woo: 'cos he's my favourite director and I gotta ask him what the hell he packs his shotguns with! I'd also ask him to explain the travesty that was M:I-2. smile

Samo Hung: To get some tips on directing fight scenes.

Kevin Smith: 'Cos it'd be fun.

Steve Wang: Because he does exactly the kind of movies I want to make and with fuck-all money.

Christopher Doyle (DP): to find out how he gets such amazing images and to pick his brains about all the in-camera special FX he packs Wong Kar-wai's films with.

Dipshit Kevin Costner and the poor sap who made The Avengers can clean up afterwards! biggrin

    Hmm, dinner party...

I'd prefer a buffet, and a proper one at that - it's got to have sandwiches...

Hey! wait a minute! Why should I share my food with all of you guys! Get out! All of you!

Rodriguez, don't think I can't see you behind the curtain!

Orson! Put down that platter! Oh, sorry, I forgot you brought that with you...

Come on, Stanley! You know it's just a speaker cabinet!

Oh, Al, Al, Al! I'll never get that chocolate sauce out of the carpet now!

<Paul goes into the kitchen to find Charles Laughton kneeling at the fridge>

    Nooooooo!

    Cheers

    Paul

PS Where did all these new smilies come from?

If I had a dinner table well...

    At one end there'd be...
    Ridley Scott,
    Marty Scocesseseseseese,
    Steven Spielberg,
    Georgie Lucas(near the cakes..),
    Frankie Ford Escort.

And through the fog of cigar smoke, in the middle there'd be...
    M. Night Shymalan,
    Tony 'where's our Rid?' Scott,
    Cammeron 'not Diaz' Crowe,
Peter 'i'll be very famous soon' Jackson.

And at the end fighting for space near the one good light in the room...
    The Coen brothers,
    Tim Burton,
    Me,
    Rob 'HAHAHAHA' Lurie,
    Spike Jonze,
    Mike Leigh(looking suitable digusted..),
Alan 'could have been ridley scott' Parker,
John 'why wasn't Matewan popular?' Sayles,
    Chance 12344555,
Anyone who taught at NFTS(serving drinks!!!)

And we would be overlooked by the ghosts of Hitchcock, Kubrick, Einstein, Lean, all thinking. 'How come none of them get it?'
